Description
Wooden shipping crate and lid. Crate is intact with some wear throughout. One end is stenciled with "FRESH / PINEAPPLE / FROM ALDRICH & YERKES / PHILADA" in black ink. Top of lid is stenciled with "J. MURPHY / FT. BENTON" also in black ink. Interior surface of lid and bottom of crate have three rows of four circular indentations and rust stains, suggesting crate carried canned goods.
